Disneyland with Kids: What to Do + Where to Go

CTTO: John Tekeridis

As a mom who loves planning magical family adventures, I can’t help but dream about visiting Disneyland Paris with my whole family! The thought of stepping into a world where fairy tales come alive, where princesses and superheroes roam the streets, and where every corner feels like pure magic… it’s honestly too exciting to resist.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Disney princesses and movies, and growing up, I dreamed of being one myself. And it seems my daughter has inherited that love for Disney magic, too. Just imagining us twirling in princess dresses, meeting our favorite characters, and singing along to our favorite songs makes my heart race with excitement! Even though we haven’t gone yet, I’ve been doing my research, planning, and imagining our perfect day at Disneyland Paris. And let me tell you, it’s a lot to think about, but so worth it!

If you’re like me, wanting to make the most of your trip, this post will cover what to do, where to go, and what to bring to make your Disneyland Paris adventure unforgettable. Plus, I’ll share how you can easily book your tickets online through my trusted link Disneyland Paris Tickets - super convenient for families!

1. What to Do at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris isn’t just one park; it’s a combination of Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, each offering unique experiences. Here’s what I’ve discovered as a must-do for families:

Disneyland Park Highlights

  • Sleeping Beauty Castle – The iconic heart of Disneyland Paris. I can already picture my daughter’s eyes lighting up as we explore the magical interiors together.

  • Fantasyland – Perfect for little ones and princess lovers! Rides like Peter Pan’s Flight and It’s a Small World are classics that never fail to make us smile.

  • Adventureland & Frontierland – For older kids or thrill-seekers, these areas feature exciting rides, including Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain.

Walt Disney Studios Park Must-Sees

  • Ratatouille: The Adventure – I can’t wait to shrink down to the size of a rat and follow Remy through the kitchen!

  • Cars Road Trip – My daughter loves Cars, so this is definitely on our must-do list.

  • Studio Tram Tour – A peek behind the magic of movie-making is perfect for curious little minds (I am curious too!).

I’ve found that planning the rides in advance helps, especially with "Disney Premier Access" if you want to skip the long lines.

2. Where to Go: Family-Friendly Spots

I’ve made a list of areas and spots we can’t miss:

  • Main Street, France. – For shopping, snacks, and that magical Disney atmosphere.

  • Meet & Greets – My daughter can hardly wait to meet her favorite princesses, and I secretly can’t wait to meet them too! Who's your favorite, btw? Mine is snowhite!

  • Parades & Shows – I’m marking the parade schedule in my productivity planner. From fireworks to daytime parades, it’s a highlight for kids of all ages.

I also read that catching the parade early near Central Plaza gives the best view, so we’ll be there with snacks and comfy shoes!

3. What to Bring: Mom’s Survival Guide

As much as Disneyland Paris is magical, it’s also a long day for kids (and parents!). Here’s my list of essentials I plan to bring:

  • Comfy shoes – For walking all day.

  • Water bottles & snacks – Some rides don’t allow outside food, but little treats during breaks are lifesavers. A must! Mahrgo loves to eat from time to time.

  • Sunscreen & hats – Even in Europe, sun protection is key.

  • Wet wipes + mini sanitizer – family essentials.

  • Good camera & Portable charger – because taking photos and using the app drains the battery quickly!

  • Pocket money! Non-negotiable, of course, we need it, LOL.

  • ID or passportDisneyland sometimes requires ID for ticket verification. It’s always safer to bring one to avoid delays at the gates.

4. Booking Tickets — Making Life Easier

The easiest part of planning is booking tickets ahead. I’ve found that booking through official channels or trusted affiliates ensures stress-free entry. You can grab your Disneyland Paris tickets here Disneyland Paris Tickets; it’s super convenient and saves a lot of time waiting in lines.

5. Tips from a Mom Doing Her Homework

  • Check height requirements before planning rides for little ones.

  • Download the Disneyland Paris app for real-time updates on wait times and show schedules.

  • Plan meal breaks - some restaurants are kid-friendly, and reservations are recommended.

  • Pace yourself - Disneyland is magical, but little feet get tired fast! HAHA

Budget-Friendly Dining Tip for Moms

As much as I dream about dining inside those beautiful, luxurious Disney restaurants, the ones with chandeliers, princess themes, and picture-perfect interiors, I know that when you’re on a budget (especially with kids!), every meal matters. So, instead of spending too much inside the fancy restaurants, I’m planning to mix things up: maybe one or two special meals for the experience, and the rest will be budget-friendly dining.

There are many affordable food stalls and cafés around Disneyland Paris where you can get sandwiches, snacks, and kid-friendly options without breaking the bank. You can also bring a few snacks for your kids to keep everyone happy between rides. That way, we can still enjoy all the magic and stay on budget, more savings for princess souvenirs, photos, and fun family moments!

I’m so excited just thinking about our future Disneyland Paris trip. Imagining the smiles, the excitement, the little “wow” moments my daughter and I will share with the whole family… it’s enough to make any mom start planning immediately! And honestly, I can’t wait to relive a bit of my own childhood dreams alongside my little princess.

If you’re ready to start your magical journey too, don’t forget to book your tickets online now so you can focus on the fun instead of the logistics. Trust me, your future self (and your kids) will thank you!
