My Skincare Documentary: Skincare Routine
January 8, 2025: First Day, PM.
When it comes to skincare, we all have our unique goals and challenges. For me, the primary concerns are dull skin, uneven skin tone, dark spots, pimple marks, and the ever-present signs of aging. As I’ve grown older, my insecurities have increased, especially now that I am 34. That’s when I realized I have to take care of myself and embrace self-love. I don’t have problems with aging, we should embrace it, of course! But there’s no problem in beautifying, especially when it comes to enjoying and loving what you do.
Recently, I’ve become a bit of a skincare junkie. It started as a simple curiosity that turned into an enthusiastic pursuit of self-beauty care. Perhaps it’s part of my boredom, but also a longing to invest in something meaningful. So I start pursuing myself first because self-love is the foundation of all things. I will be documenting my first-month skincare journey as I work towards brighter, healthier skin while embracing this new chapter in my life.
Skincare Goals
My ultimate goal is to brighten my complexion, even out my skin tone, and reduce the appearance of dark spots and pimple marks. Along the way, I also hope to minimize the early signs of aging by nurturing my skin with the right products. This blog serves as a documentary of my routine and progress, and I’m excited to see some difference after 30 days. My skincare documentary is a testament to the power of consistent care and self-investment.

My Skincare Products
Btw, I have normal to oily skin type. To address my concerns, I’ve curated a lineup of tried-and-tested products that I’ll be using consistently. Here’s a breakdown of my routine:
AM Routine:
Garnier Micellar Water (Blue): My first step in the morning is cleansing with this micellar water to remove any residue from the night and prep my skin for the day.
Deoproce Snail Galac Foaming Cleanser: This gentle cleanser ensures my skin feels fresh and clean without stripping away natural oils.
Revox 877 Anti Dark Spot Serum: A powerful serum that targets my dark spots and uneven skin tone.
Deoproce Snail Recovery Cream: Packed with snail mucin, this cream hydrates and repairs my skin, leaving it soft and supple.

Deoproce Skin Rescue Sunscreen: Sunscreen is a must! Offering essential protection against UV damage.
PM Routine:
Garnier Micellar Water (Blue): I use this to gently remove makeup and impurities after a long day.
Deoproce Snail Galac Foaming Cleanser: Cleansing again ensures my skin is free from pollutants and dirt.
Revox 877 Anti Dark Spot Serum: The second application of this serum works overnight to brighten and even out my skin.
Deoproce Snail Recovery Cream: This cream helps with hydration and skin repair while I sleep.
Note: I don't know much about skincare products or what brands are good. I was originally eyeing for COSRX brand for moisturizer and foaming cleanser but they are not available in Watsons' physical store. So, the saleslady suggested Deoproce instead. I hope di ako na budol? LOL!

Revox 877 Anti Dark Spot Serum: I'll be using this at nighttime only as I am not comfortable using it during the daytime.
January 15, 2025
I feel some itchiness, particularly in the affected areas that have the most pimple marks. Dark spots slowly fading, maybe? I don't see improvements with fine lines but I feel like my skin is well hydrated now.Documenting the Journey
For this experiment, I’ll be taking photos or notes to monitor changes in my skin. My skincare documentary will focus on:
The fading of dark spots and pimple marks.
Improvements in overall brightness and skin tone.
Any changes in texture and fine lines.Skincare is a journey, and patience is key. With consistent use of my chosen products, I hope to achieve noticeable improvements in a month.
Embrace yourself, with or without skincare. Do whatever you love, if it makes you happy, go for it!
This journey is about more than just skincare, it’s about rediscovering myself and learning to love the skin I’m in. My skincare journey is both a personal investment and an act of self-love. If you’re on the same journey, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s glow together!
